| The origins of Tricase have different versions, some of them motivate his foundation, referring to the historical period of his birth and explain its name. Most credible are, however, those of Antonio Micetti of Tricase and Capuchin Father Luigi Tasselli of Casarano. It is said that in ancient times (between X and XI century) there were three Casali, and from them, seems to have built the first nucleus of houses that later gave its name to Tricase. |
