| Torre Suda is a wonderful marina, part of the municipality of Racale at about 5 km. Is located 50 km from Lecce, the Florence of the South, in the immediate vicinity of Gallipoli, the pearl of the Ionian. Torre Suda takes its name from a tower-shaped circular 13.5 m high. overlooking a large creek and picturesque. Its construction dates back to the fifteenth century and was built for the purpose of warning because of the numerous Saracen invasions that between 1500 and 1800 marked a difficult period for all the Salento. |
